  Avalon is somewhat unprepossessing from the outside, but don't let it fool you. Inside, the rooms are comfortable and scrupulously clean. It is on a quiet street, but conveniently located to the universities and city centre (as well as a nice park for walks or runs). Most importantly, the proprietors are very friendly, accommodating, and attentive. We had to extend our stay unexpectedly, and they managed to find room for us on a very busy weekend. Highly recommended, and, with the breakfast and wifi included, very affordable.
