  The refurb is great, 5 stars for that.
  
  But the fact that there are gestapo library staff constantly walking around to check if anyone has brought food or drink in makes it feel very unwelcoming.
  
  I thought Leeds University was a place of adult education, not a creche.
  
  Dunno why, it just really pisses me off sitting in here and seeing a member of staff slide by with their head and eyes scouring the area like a supermarket security guard, making it blindingly obvious that they're on the hunt for evil students who've come in with a bite of food or a drink that isn't water. Surely there are better things to do than treat adult learners like 10 year olds.
  
  And so I reduce the rating down to 3 stars.
